For many women, the journey begins long before they ever hear about sacred mushrooms.
It can begin as a feeling that's difficult to name. Nothing may be obviously wrong with your life, and yet something feels different. You may feel stuck without really knowing why, or carry a quiet sense that there is something more for you in this lifetime. Not necessarily more in the way we are taught to think of more, but something deeper. A greater sense of meaning, purpose, connection, or understanding of who you are and why you're here.
Somewhere beneath the surface, something is beginning to shift.
You may start craving stillness where you once filled every space. Time in nature feels less like an escape and more like a return. Certain conversations no longer reach you in the same way. You become curious about consciousness, intuition, Spirit, the nature of reality, and questions about being alive that you may never have thought to ask before.
You don't necessarily know what you're looking for. You just know you're no longer looking for the same things.
And slowly, the outer parts of your life can begin to come into question too.
The career you worked hard to build may no longer feel like where you belong. The things you once associated with success may lose some of their meaning. You may look at the pace of your life and wonder why you're rushing. You may even find yourself longing for a much simpler life, questioning how much you truly need and feeling drawn towards a way of living that is slower, more intentional and more connected to what really matters.
It can feel strange to question things you once felt so certain about. But sometimes we outgrow a version of ourselves before we understand who we are becoming.
And beneath all of it, there can be a feeling of remembering.
Not necessarily remembering something you can put into words, but recognising that beneath the roles you've played, the expectations you've carried, and the life you've learned to navigate, there may be something deeper asking for your attention.
Many women who find their way to Women of Mycelia recognise something of themselves in this experience. They aren't looking for someone to tell them what to believe. They're curious about what might be discovered by turning inward and listening more closely.
If these words feel familiar, your journey may have already begun.
